Cultures and lives with various roots have drifted and settled in Shin-Nagata. If we describe the transformations that they have gone through, what will we find archived in people’s bodies? Songs and dances of their homes? Words that they have swallowed back? The backgrounds of histories in which people have moved / had to move are filled with untold stories of families. The “I”s in the present, viewed through family pedigrees. We explore how cultures and lives drift and change, paths that familial forms are going to take, and flexible ways of living that are based on the concept of the body, in this festival that presents three programs every weekend.
